Cancellation and Late Policy

While we are sure the last thing our clients want to do is create a barrier to the care of someone else’s pet, that is in effect what happens when clients are late or do not show up for an appointment. Without timely notifications, we do not have the option of scheduling another pet into a time slow occupied by missed appointments. Arriving late delays everyone else’s appointments for the rest of the day. This is even more concerning when, on rare occasions, a client misses a surgery time for which several hours have been reserved.
For this reason, Queens Animal Health has a cancellation/late arrival policy:
- All appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance or by Saturday morning for Monday appointments.
- Failure to cancel at least 24 hours in advance will result in a missed appointment/late cancellation fee.
- Repeated missed appointments will be billed for the full exam free, and future appointments will require pre-payments.
- Missed surgeries will result in a non-refundable cancellation fee which will be billed according to the amount of time that was reserved for the procedure.
- Late appointments will result in a late fee and may result in being unable to be seen by the doctor that day.
We apologize for any inconvenience this policy may cause, but the doctors and staff at Queens Animal Health are concerned for clients and patients who need to be seen for major medical issues and must wait for an open appointments time when an earlier time would have been available due to a late cancellation or missed appointment. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
